AgWest is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits administration, and payroll processes. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture and serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers alike.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, from posting jobs to conducting interviews and ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires.
- Oversee daily HR activities, such as maintaining employee records, processing documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support leaders in administering performance review processes and developing action plans for growth and improvement.
- Assist with labour relations, including contract interpretation, grievance management processes, and ensuring adherence to collective agreements.
- Collaborate with leaders to foster a positive work environment, ensuring employee concerns are addressed and resolved effectively.
- Ensure HR practices comply with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years in an HR role, with exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. Union experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPHR designation or working toward it is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the province or to other provinces as needed.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model, combining both in-office and remote work.
