AgWest is seeking an experienced and dynamic Precision Agriculture Manager to lead our precision agriculture team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of precision ag technology, support services, and customer solutions. The successful candidate will manage a team of Precision Agriculture Specialists, collaborate with sales and service teams, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the adoption and performance of precision ag technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Precision Agriculture team through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the precision agriculture department, aligning with company goals.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support equipment demonstrations, provide insights, and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Oversee product presentations, quotes, and proposals, ensuring accurate and compelling customer communication.
  • Manage the installation and support of advanced precision ag kits, ensuring seamless integration and service quality.
  • Monitor department performance, optimize operations, and manage budgets to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, maintain documentation, and uphold high standards of customer service.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clear abstract.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the agriculture industry.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Above-average problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train others in developing their skills.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate various farm equipment.
  • Knowledge of modern farming practices and challenges faced by producers.
  • High mechanical aptitude, including electrical principles.
